Fourth decade of existence on new tracks.

Last Thursday was our campus opened to the public. Guests were able to see the new office space, including a showroom with our product ranges or participate on a guided tour of the production facility, which is equipped with the latest technology for furniture manufacturing. The program also included a lecture by architect Luděk Rýzner from OK PLAN ARCHITECTS. The Mobile Hut by Artikul Architects was also on display.

• PRODUCTION TRACK •

What does the evolution of furniture production mean in PROFIL FURNITURE company? This topic was introduced to the visitors during the tours, where they could learn more about the modern technology that optimizes production processes, increases efficiency, improves working conditions for the operators and at the same time guarantees the maintenance of product quality. The German HOMAG technology used in the company is one of the current leaders in the ergonomics of the production process.

• DESIGN & SUSTAINABILITY TRACK •

During the event, a wide portfolio of product lines for offices, healthcare and atypical interiors was presented, which are created on the basis of cooperation between architects, technologists and, last but not least, skilled carpenters. Sustainability, functionality and the quality of the final products are already considered during the design process. The aesthetic aspect then follows these qualities. In the new showroom, some new products were also presented, which will soon be available on our website and e-shop in the product range.

• EDUCATIONAL STOP •

The new hall is built on the brownfield of the former freight station in Humpolec. Therefore, the participants of the event could take part in a botanical walk around the area with geobotanist Jan Albert Šturma, who introduced them to the plants of the so-called urban wilderness. These thrive in neglected places in the suburbs, but also around railway tracks. That is, in the locations where our new hall stands. The choice of location was therefore not random. Revitalising a brownfield site made more sense to us than building on a greenfield site. At the same time, we wanted to relieve the city of noise and traffic by moving out of the centre.

• WORKSHOPS •

Workshop not only for children. In cooperation with the studio Schwestern and graphic designer Marta Maštálková, creative workshops were prepared for children and adults. Guests could try out basic carpentry skills and take away their own product - a simple stool. It was made of plywood in combination with roxor rods - a material that has fascinated us at PROFIL FURNITURE and is used for example for the production of table bases, coat hangers and other products from the TAK furniture range. During the workshop with Marta Maštálková, the children designed their dream piece of furniture with the help of terry cloth and their own imagination.

• 30+ •

There were four of us at the beginning. Today, we have a team of top sales representatives, designers, architects, technologists, and carpenters around us, who are moving forward with us on new tracks. The next generation is also an integral part of the team and is actively involved in Profil, upholding the tradition of a family business.
